The Litora verified badge.
Verification on Litora is not a status symbol you buy. It is something you earn — through consistent, quality publishing and genuine engagement with the community.
Creator Verification
For individual writers, researchers, poets, and professionals who are actively publishing and contributing to the Litora community.
Institutional Verification
For universities, research institutions, companies, publishing houses, and communities maintaining an official presence on Litora.
Both types of verification are completely free. Litora does not charge for verified status.
Track 01
Creator Verification
The creator verified badge — displayed as a ✓ on your profile — signals that Litora has reviewed your account and recognises you as an active, genuine, and quality contributor to the platform.
It is not a follower milestone. It is not a paid feature. It is Litora's acknowledgement that you are here to write — and that you actually do.
Eligibility
What we look for
Complete, professional profile
Your profile must be properly set up — a clear profile photo, a cover photo, a filled bio, and relevant details such as your field, institution, or professional background. An empty or incomplete profile does not qualify.
Consistent quality publishing
At least 2 quality posts per week, sustained over time. Content can be of any form — articles, poems, shayari, research notes, short stories, essays, opinion pieces. What matters is that the work is genuine and thoughtful.
Active community engagement
You are not just publishing into a void. You read and engage with other people's work — comments, reactions, and meaningful interactions. Litora is a community, and verified creators are active members of it.
Participation in Litora events
Active participation in Litora-hosted webinars, writing initiatives, and community events is taken into account. It signals genuine investment in the platform, not just a presence.
Account in good standing
Your account must have no active violations of our Community Guidelines.
Litora's discretion
Verification is evaluated and approved by the Litora team. Meeting the criteria above makes you eligible — it does not guarantee approval. We evaluate holistically, and the decision rests with us.
Benefits
What it means for you
Visible credibility
The verified badge on your profile signals to readers and institutions that your account is authentic and active.
Priority discovery
Verified creators receive higher visibility in Litora's content discovery and recommendations.
Trust signal
When institutions, publications, or collaborators find your profile, the badge communicates that Litora recognises your presence here.
Community recognition
A marker that you are a genuine, contributing member of the Litora community — not a passive or inactive account.
Coming for verified creators
Multi-chapter and serialised publishing — novels, comics, and long-form creative works as structured series.
Enhanced recommendation visibility — your work surfaced to relevant readers beyond your followers.
Priority access to Litora events, writing programmes, and featured initiatives.
And more features as the platform grows.
Removal
When verification is removed
The verified badge is not permanent. It reflects your current status as an active, quality contributor. If that changes, the badge may be removed.
Prolonged inactivity — consistent failure to maintain the minimum publishing and engagement threshold.
Account hibernation — if you place your account in hibernated/inactive mode, the badge is paused until you return to active status.
Community Guidelines violation — any confirmed violation may result in badge removal alongside other enforcement actions.
Account termination or ban — verification is removed immediately.
Voluntary withdrawal — you may request removal of your verified status at any time.
Track 02
Institutional Verification
Institutions on Litora — universities, research organisations, companies, publishing houses, academic communities — can apply for institutional verification to establish a trusted, official presence on the platform.
A verified institution can publish editorial content, host official webinars and events, and be discovered as a credible, authenticated organisation by Litora's community.
Eligibility
Who can apply
Universities and academic institutions
Research organisations and laboratories
Registered companies and professional bodies
Publishing houses and editorial organisations
Community groups and cultural organisations with a verifiable identity
Institutional verification requires submission of relevant documentation confirming the organisation's identity and legitimacy. All applications are reviewed by the Litora team.
Benefits
What verified institutions get
Post job and internship opportunities
Publish job listings, internship openings, and research positions directly from your institutional profile — visible to Litora's community of students, researchers, and professionals.
Editorial publishing access
Publish as an institutional editorial voice on Litora — limited publishing access to Litora's platform for curated, quality content from your organisation.
Create and host events
Host webinars, conferences, masterclasses, and academic events directly on Litora with your institution's verified presence.
Own community spaces
Create and manage dedicated community groups on Litora for your members, students, research teams, or collaborators.
Verified badge and trust
A clear institutional verification mark that signals authenticity to Litora's community — distinguishing your account from unverified profiles.
More coming
Institutional tools are expanding. Verified institutions will have early access to new features as the platform grows.
