Communications: Messages sent through Litora's in-app chat and direct messaging features.

Device information: Device model, operating system version, and device identifiers.
Usage data: Content viewed, time spent, interactions, and general navigation patterns within the app.
Notification tokens: Device tokens used to deliver push notifications to you.

4. Data Storage and Infrastructure

Your account data, published writings, messages, and social graph are stored securely in India-based cloud data centres through Google Cloud / Firebase infrastructure. Litora has specifically configured its primary data storage to keep core user data within India.

Media files you upload (such as profile avatars and article illustrations) are served via secure global content delivery networks (CDNs) to ensure fast loading times globally. CDN edge nodes cache public images globally for delivery speed, while your private user account records remain securely housed in India.

5. Third-Party Services and Processors

Litora partners with industry-leading cloud service providers for core functionality:

6. Data Retention and Account Deletion

Retention: Your data is retained for as long as your account remains active.
Account Deletion: You have the absolute right to delete your account and all associated personal data at any time.
- In-App: Go to Profile > Settings > Delete Account.

Processing Time: Upon receiving your deletion request, all personal data (profile, credentials, private messages, and unpublished drafts) will be permanently and irreversibly purged from our active databases within 30 days, except where minimal transaction or compliance logs must be retained pursuant to applicable Indian law.
